Thanks for setting up the forum. Two quick immediate questions:
How do I change my username from my email address to something else?
Can you clarify if there are non-public forums, and is so what is the criteria for participation?
Thanks
Guy

Re: Username/public or non-public?
Hi Guy, and thanks for visiting the forum.
Unfortunately, there is no way to change the usernames.
However, if you are registered as a hyperlocal you will have access to the hyperlocal section, which is a private space which can only be viewed by other publishers, and which is kept separate from general users
You can also add other users as 'friends' and send them direct messages.
Hope that helps, and hope you enjoy using the forum.
Thanks
Matt

Re: Username/public or non-public?
Is there anything that can be done so that our email addresses are not on public display?
Having them on display like they are here is easy pickings for your not-so-friendly neighbourhood spam crawler.

Re: Username/public or non-public?
Hi everyone,
We have updated the forum so that users can now change their usernames from their existing email addresses to whatever they chose.
In order to do this, please head over to your profile info. This is the little blue box in the top right-hand corner with the avatar on.
Click user control panel from this drop-down box, then click profile…
Then click edit account settings…
You will then be given an option to edit your username.
Ignore the fields that ask you to input a new password and then confirm it, just head straight to the bottom and key in your current password.
Give me a shout if you’re having any issues.
Thanks
Matt
